Hello! I’m a curly-haired lady, an advocate of clean air, and a bike commuter. Most people know me as Froggy. I am perhaps, one of the few women who commute on a bicycle here in Metro Manila, Philippines. The obvious reasons for the lack of women riders are many: irresponsible pedestrians and drivers, heavily polluted air, and inefficient roads. Also, not many have nerves of steel.
I’ve been thinking of putting up this blog for over a year now. My little abode in the internet will hopefully chronicle my adventures in this city, which I love, and introduce everybody to the joy of walking, jogging, running and biking around this concrete jungle.
Metro Manila isn’t a walk in the park; those of you who live here know that fresh air in the city is a myth. But the city feeds me with verve, love and a fervent hope that maybe someday it will be greener, cleaner and friendlier than it is now.
